I've noticed a trend among popular salon-only brands like REF, ELEVEN Australia, Davines, and more, that I think you should know about. These brands claim to be exclusive to salons, but their actions tell a different story.

These salon-only brands have begun to sell their products on Amazon, which isn't the problem. The issue arises when they shut down salon owners who also want to sell their products on the platform. By selling their products exclusively and undercutting the spirit of "salon only" branding, these companies are going against the American Fair Trade Organisation (FTO) laws that promote fair competition for everyone.

As a salon owner, I feel that these brands are using us to grow their brand and customer base, allowing them to transition to selling online. Once they've established themselves, they block salon owners from selling their products online and continue to sell exclusively themselves.
